Last year these were the last tomatoes we harvested, they remained on the vines well after others had disappeared. While we haven’t tried it, it is said that the vine can be pulled at the end of the season and hung up for the fruit to ripen and will keep for up to five months. This tomato was originally bred at the Timirjazev Agricultural Academy in Russia and is prized for its keeping qualities.

The Giraffe has a semi-determinate habit with fruit that has red flesh and a skin that changes from green to yellow blushing with orange as it ripens.
